Designing for How We Feel

There are seasons in life that quietly reshape everything—how we move through the day, what we reach for, what we let go of. For me, that season came through an unexpected diagnosis, one that asked me to slow down, listen more closely and to redefine what “wellness” actually means in a lived, everyday way.

That shift became the foundation for something I had been craving for a long time in the form a collection that feels as good as it looks. One that holds space for beauty but also for healing, intention, and real life.

This is the beginning of June St. George’s Wellness Series.

Designing for How We Feel

As designers, we talk a lot about how a space looks. But the truth is, what stays with us and what actually changes our days how a space feels. The softness underfoot… that coziness of the weight of a blanket at the end of a long day. The quiet rhythm of something thoughtfully made.

The Wellness Series was created with all of that in mind. Every piece is rooted in the idea that design can support us gently, consistently coming back to ourselves when we come back into our homes.

The Mindfulness Collection

The first chapter and foundation of this series is The Mindfulness Collection, created in collaboration with textile artist Jill Malek. It’s a partnership that felt incredibly aligned from the start. Her work has this beautiful, almost meditative quality that naturally lends itself to slowing down. Each of our collective journeys has come into balance through our inspiration in the sanctuary of nature.

The collection includes rugs and pillows inspired by nature’s rhythms. The subtle, grounding patterns that don’t demand attention, but instead create a sense of calm within a space. These are pieces designed to be lived with. To give you something steady to land on at the end of the day.

Layers of Comfort

We also expanded our knit blanket line as part of this series because if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that comfort isn’t a luxury. It’s essential.

These blankets are meant for real moments: early mornings, slow afternoons, the kind of evenings where rest isn’t optional. No matter the season, I always find myself reaching for a blanket at the end of the day to wrap myself in and to snuggle up with my pup.

They’re tactile, grounding, and intentionally simple, the kind of pieces you reach for without thinking.

A Piece with Purpose

One of the most meaningful additions to the Wellness Series is our partnership with Warriors That Pray. Together, we created a collection of wellness bracelets designed to bring awareness to autoimmune and rare diseases. Through the collection of bracelets….

This part of the collection is especially close to my heart. It’s a reminder that design can extend beyond the home and can carry meaning, spark conversation, and create connection.

Slowing Down, On Purpose

At its core, the Wellness Series is an extension of what June St. George has always believed… that design should be intentional, personal, and rooted in something real.

Not rushed. Not overdone. Just thoughtful and meaningful.

It’s about creating pieces that meet you where you are whether that’s in a season of healing, growth, or simply a desire to live a little more slowly. Sometimes the most beautiful spaces aren’t the ones that impress us the most they are the ones that hold us, quietly, exactly as we are.
